Ski lessons vary in price. Group lessons tend to be less expensive than private lessons as you are sharing the instructor with other people. The others in your group will of course be the same ability and it is often a great way to meet new people and learn from each other at the same time.
Private lessons are more expensive as you will be hiring the instructor just for you or a group of your own friends. Private lessons are great as you can pick up new skills really quickly and you will have the full attention of the instructor to focus just on your own needs. If you wish to learn more about the difference between group and private lessons see the article ‘How to choose between group and private lessons’.
The prices for ski lessons also vary between ski schools and individual instructors. If the classes have a lower maximum number of participants the lessons are often slightly more expensive than if the school allows more participants per class.
Independent instructors can sometimes be more expensive than private lessons provided by a ski school. The independent instructors are not part of a school and therefore set their own prices for their time. The benefit of an independent instructor is that you can choose exactly who you want and they often specialise in particular aspects of the sport.
